Get your Hands Dirty and Advance Your Career with a Mechanical Technician Job

Responsibilities:

*Complete machinery installation, preventative maintenance, and repair at customer facilities (initial training will be provided; previous experience is a plus).
*Train customers on equipment’s technical, operational, and maintenance requirements.
*Document service activities and related expenses.
*Provide VP of Operations periodic feedback on preventative maintenance programs and customer needs.
*Attend tradeshows to set up and tear down equipment.
*Work with fellow technicians to maintain the warehouse, machine shop, and grounds.
*Promote HHH Tempering machinery and accessories while in front of customers.
*Rebuild and repair glass machinery at HHH Tempering Resources’ facilities.
*Maintain a high level of professionalism.
*Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills:

*Strong communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and customer service skills are required.
*Associates Degree in electrical or mechanical field or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
*Able to read wiring diagrams and pneumatic diagrams.
*Experience servicing mechanical, electrical, electronic, and CNC control devices preferred.
*Experience as a traveling technician is a plus.
*Competent with power tools (drills, grinders, reciprocating saws, etc.)
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
*Bi-Lingual – English/Spanish a plus.
*Must have a valid driver’s license.
*Ability to work with a team.

*75%-100% travel required.
*Must be able to work an occasional weekend and flexible enough to travel at a moment’s notice (usually with 24 hours’ notice) to customer facilities to complete equipment repair. Most travel is planned in advance usually with a 2 week notice or more.)
*Frequent standing, kneeling, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling and climbing required.
*The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
*Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
